 Girls Fall Softball Sign Ups

Girls Softball is open to girls ages 5-17.  T-Ball participants must be 5 before October 1.  All other leagues must be league age by January 1st. Girls Softball plays at the Irvine McDowell Park off Lancaster Ave.

New Program Coordinator: Lisa Cassity

Lisa is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who graduated from EKU in 1999, with a degree in Recreation and Parks Administration and a Therapeutic Recreation Option. She was hired in June of 2008.

DISC GOLF COURSE-

Open to the Public.
Located at Camp Catalpa Park.
NO CHARGE

There is no charge to play disc golf- just bring your own disc.  The course was constructed by the Richmond Disc Golf Club and was funded by the City Of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department. 

Discover the beauty of Camp Catalpa by walking this 18 hole/9 fairway course.  The first hole is located at the top of the hill next to the large shelter.  Follow the signs to the other fairways.  Disc golf is a game for all ages.   Come see this beautiful park in a whole new light.

September 9th- Hot Women and Health “Information for pre-menopausal women and beyond” 7:30am-8:30am Reservations: Seating is limited. Please drop by or send $3.00 for each session at least one week prior to each event to reserve your seat and offset printing costs. Call 623-4072 for additional information. October 11-  Disc Golf Tournament- Camp Catalpa - 9am Players Meeting, 10am Shot Gun Start. Sponsored by Mike's Hike & Bike

October 12-  2nd Sunday Event- Visit the beautiful Battlefield Park off of Hwy 421 and ride your bikes or walk along the new one mile walking trail at Battlefield Park in addition to Battlefield Golf Club, and Battlefield Subdivision.  Activities include performances by the Rose Barn Theatre, a Bike Rodeo for kids, Abe Lincoln, Prizes, and more!
