Note: There is no costume contest at this event. However, we encourage all participants,

Fall Volleyball began September 23rd and we have eight participating co-rec church teams.  Fall Softball is in the final rounds of their double elimination tournament.

Meet Our New Staff
 

 New Assistant Program Coordinator:
Anna Chambers


Anna is a 2007 Graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with an emphasis in Public/Non Profit Parks and Recreation Administration. Anna has been employed by the Richmond Parks & Recreation Department in several capacities over the past 2 summers. In 2007 she was an Assistant Manager for Adventure Falls and in 2008, she was the Manager at Paradise Cove.

Sarah Schotterbeck

Sarah is a 2007 graduate from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Parks and Recreation Administration with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. Sarah is working with our Special Needs and Special Olympics program and will be starting a Young Athletes program in the Fall for an independent study class.

GET FIT WEEKEND -
LOOK AT ALL THE ACTIVITIES RICHMOND HAS PROMOTING FITNESS!!!

October 4th- Music with a Mission- Saturday October 4th at the EKU Ravine. The show begins at 5:30pm.  Get there early, bring a lawn chair and get your seat. A canned food, gift card or monetary donation are accepted and appreciated.  Proceeds to benefit Hope’s Wings Domestic Violence Program.

October 12-  2nd Sunday Event-
Visit the beautiful Battlefield Park off of Hwy 421 and ride your bikes or walk along the new one mile walking trail at Battlefield Park in addition to Battlefield Golf Club, and Battlefield Subdivision.  Activities include performances by the Rose Barn Theatre, a Bike Rodeo for kids, Abe Lincoln, Prizes, Community Booths, Kids Turn of the Century Games, and more! This is a statewide event aimed at encouraging participants to get out and exercise on the Second Sunday in October.
