August 27-30- "Pythonesque" - Sketches of Monty Python: A Family Friendly benefit for St. Mark Catholic School.  Evening Performances at 8pm, Sunday Matinee at 2:00pm.  Tickets are $10/adults $5/ kids. Berea Arena Theater, 1835 Big Hill Rd. For Reservations Call: 859-582-0563

August 28- Preservation Classic Celebrity Golf Tournament at Battlefield Golf Course. Registration and continental breakfast for the fifth annual tournament begins at 8am with play beginning at 9:00am. EKU and other Kentucky Sports personalities will participate.

August 29- 30 - Re-Enactment of Battle of Richmond at Battlefield Park- 10am to 4pm. The eighth annual re-enactment of the Battle of Richmond will be conducted at 2pm each day. Numerous living history activities are available; Union and Confederate camps open, performances scheduled at the Rose Barn Theatre.

September 3- City Fest 5:30-8:30pm; sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. EKU Powell Plaza.  Free and open to the public.

September 18- 8th Annual "Just Wish For It! Walking For Wishes" fundraiser sponsored by EKU Chi Omega Sorority.  Proceeds benefit the Make a Wish Foundation. Contact Megan Franklin for registration and sponsorship information- megan_franklin11@eku.edu

September 25-27- Intertribal Pow Wow, Battlefield Park- Friday is school day. Gates open to the public at 5pm, Saturday gates open at 10am- 9pm and Sunday gates open at 11am - 4:30pm. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children. Maximum of $15 per family.  http://www.richmondpowwow.org/

October 2nd- "Paint the Town Pink Day" Join Mayor Connie Lawson wear pink this day as she declares October 2nd as "Paint the Town Pink Day" and helps to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

October 9- Sponge Bob Square Pants- 5pm-7pm at Lake Reba Little League Complex. Meet and Greet Sponge Bob and help support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. *Starlight Mile Participants should arrive early. Race registration ends at 7:15pm at Shelter A* Sponsored by Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center. 

October 11- "2nd Sunday"- Walk/Run/Bike/Skate Battlefield Park- 2pm-4pm.  Battlefield Park located at 1546 Battlefield Memorial Hwy/ US 421 between Richmond & Berea.  2nd Sunday is a free event for everyone of all ages.  The purpose of the event is to encourage Kentuckians to be physically active and to build healthy communities. Come out to the battlefield and enjoy games for kids, physical activity demonstrations, walking tours, door prizes and much more.
